Internal Control Processes Automation for IT-Consulting Company

The purpose of the work on «Internal Control Processes Automation for IT-Consulting Company» was the development of an integrated approach to the internal control of projects in IT consulting companies based on the COSO model. The relevance of the topic is determined by the growing need of IT consulting companies to improve internal control mechanisms in order to improve the effectiveness of project management. In the course of the study, the company was analysed by the five components of the COSO model, model was chosen due to its risk-orientation, which is very important for the IT consulting field. On the basis of the analysis, components for improvement were identified. As methods to improve control procedures, the monitored indicators of the effectiveness of the project were selected, and to improve information and communication, the project participants and the interaction scheme were identified, the levels of project management and the timing of reporting in accordance with the level of management were identified. As a result of the work, an integrated approach was developed that includes: • a system of qualitative and quantitative indicators for tracking the progress of the project; • a matrix of communications in the project; • reporting system for different levels of management; • configured in accordance with the requirements MS Project software.
