The Role of the Big Data Technologies in the 2016 Election Campaigns

In this paper, using the Big Data technologies in political campaigns are discussed. As research methods, the case studies of political campaigns of D. Trump and H. Clinton and the expert survey on the role of Big Data technologies in political campaigns are used. The first chapter of the study describes the theory of political marketing, its components and tools. The second chapter is devoted to the Big Data technology, their capabilities and disadvantages. In practice, the analysis of Trump and Clinton election campaigns and the results of an expert survey are presented.
