Assessment of the Attractiveness of the Tourist Industry in Armenia (Extreme Tourism Segment). The author is a student of the Faculty of Business and Management of the National Research University Rstakyan Karina Norayrovna. The main object of research is extreme tourism segment of the tourism industry of the Republic of Armenia. The main task of this work is to determine the attractiveness of the tourism industry (the segment of extreme tourism) for companies considering entering this segment. This work consists two parts: theoretical and practical. The first part deals with a layer of concepts in the field of strategic analysis of the industry, which is necessary to make decisions about the attractiveness or unattractiveness of the industry, as well as the necessary tools for analysis and its methodology. The second part consists of applying the analyzed analysis tools in practice. The assessment of the attractiveness of the industry is based on an analysis of the macro environment for companies operating in the industry (PEST analysis and analysis of the five competitive forces of M. Porter), analysis of driving forces, key success factors, and analysis of competition in the industry (through analysis of strategic groups). To make a decision on the attractiveness of the tourism industry in Armenia (the segment of extreme tourism), the author of this work turned to the results of statistical reports, desk research, expert evaluation, expert interviews, as well as foreign and domestic academic sources, and electronic resources. The result of this work is a conclusion on the attractiveness of the tourism industry of the Republic of Armenia (the segment of extreme tourism).
