Despite the fact that risk management role is highly appreciated nowadays, research show that the amount of common frameworks and models is too strong in comparison with the number of concrete concepts of managing risks considering characteristics which distinguish a certain project from others. Thus, the main purpose of the project is to establish a framework of risks identification and qualitative analysis for event management projects. In order to achieve the goal, a deep analysis of relevant literature was conducted so that the essence of event planning projects would be clearer. Another method used was the surveying of event managers in order to identify key characteristics of such projects and risk management techniques used to provide project success. The results achieved in this study are the event projects risk register, which is based on the data gathered, and a demonstration of applying this framework into practice on the example of a typical project in the field.
