MASTER’S THESIS ABSTRACT of a full-time education student Grevtseva Yulia Sergeevna The 2d year student Master’s Thesis, taking 45.04.02 – Linguistics field of study. Thesis title: “Spontaneous oral speech in the format of international English exams”. The topic of this graduation thesis is: “Spontaneous oral speech in the format of international English exams”. The thesis is 67 pages long. It consists of an introduction, three chapters, conclusion and bibliography. It also includes 8 tables and 10 figures. The relevance of this research is linked to the fact that currently people have opportunities to study and work abroad, thus they need to get a certificate of their level of English. The object of the work is the development of spontaneous oral speech in the format of international English exams. The subject of the work is selection and development of exercises aimed at optimizing the teaching process of spontaneous oral speech in the format of international English exams. The goal of the thesis is to assess the effectiveness of exercises selected for the development of the ability of the reproduction of oral speech in the format of international exams. To achieve this goal we formulated objectives and selected proper research methods. According to them, we examined theoretical basis of the chosen theme and analyzed methods that can be used in teaching foreign languages, we also selected and developed exercises aimed at optimizing the teaching process of spontaneous oral speech in the format of international English exams and assessed their effectiveness. As a result of implementing our exercises the quality of spontaneous oral speech improved.
