Educational Programme: Complex Social Analysis (Master)

Year of Graduation: 2018

The current thesis is dedicated to the phenomenon of physical investment. On the basis of the critical theory (structuralism, Marxism), it is shown how various devices of organization, control and management of labour form a new subject. Also examined are the problems of sport and the sport industry as a whole and as a cultural layer which is a part of production relations. It is argued that in the new economic conditions (neoliberalism) by investing in physical capital, a subject automatically carries out its own exploitation. The evidence base is a series of biographical interviews with professional athletes, coaches and doctors.
