Building an Image Processing System Based on Neural Network Algorithms

Student: Kadykova Valentina

Faculty: St.Petersburg School of Economics and Management

Educational Programme: Big Data Analysis for Business, Economy, and Society (Master)

Year of Graduation: 2018

Nowadayswith the help of neural networks solve a huge number of different tasks: image objects detection, speech recognition, games, self-driving car navigation and much more. But, even the great success that have already been achieved, this relatively young knowledge area is still ahead. In this paper, we consider the problem of automatic cropping images using neural network methods. In particular, we focus on detection attention area in the image with the help of building a saliency map, consider the current developments in this area, and we will speed up the classic algorithms for building saliency map with the help of the method of distillation the knowledge.
