A man of our time has a million possibilities of moving up and down the social Elevator. In such a situation, there is a big question of religious faith. In the past, it was clear what religion is and what role it plays in society. But the world is developing, with a technological breakthrough, new discoveries in science, with the proof of the big Bang raises a very logical question: "Why do we need а religion?" And although many people nowadays become atheists, there are still those for whom religion shows the meaning of life. The question of free will for atheists is solved: they do not believe in God, and therefore believe in their own strength and in their own power over their own destiny. Believers, on the contrary, must rely entirely on the will of God, and yet, believers ask the question "Вo I have a free will?" I think everyone has ever wondered in their life, " is it Predetermined for me to be where I am now? Or is this success or failure the result of my actions? Are my mistakes and downfalls determined by God or not? Or am I mistaken myself?" Since the 18th century, European culture has experienced a period of decline in religiosity and has become more and more secular. As the colonial system began, Europe's influence spread throughout the world. So the whole world has gone Westernization, which was accompanied by secularization is not only European culture. However, at the end of the 20th century, the process of reverse movement — desecularization - began in an obvious way. The revolution in Iran, the role of the Catholic Church in the struggle of the poles against the Communist power, the war after the collapse of Yugoslavia — it all had including religious coloring. And the world in which we live now, sociologists tend to call post-secular. In this world religion plays an increasingly important role. In this regard, the need to understand the most painful issues of religious consciousness is becoming more and more urgent.
