This work is devoted to the study of the motivation system of volunteers in non-profit organizations, in particular, charitable foundations. The relevance of the topic is that the non-profit sector in Russia is growing, and the number of studies is still insignificant, and the topic is not fully understood, in contrast to the commercial sector. In the course of this research, the main features and differences of NGOs from commercial organizations were revealed, the features of human resource management in NCOs were studied, various approaches and theories of motivation were examined. The main human resource of NCOs are volunteers who do not have such a method of financial motivation as wages, so managers need to pay more attention to job satisfaction. In the framework of this thesis, a quantitative study was conducted that helped to identify, describe and evaluate the motivation system of volunteers in such a non-profit organization as the charity fund "Smile of a Child". The conducted research clearly showed the problems and strengths in the methods of managing the motivation of human resources in this organization. Relying on the theoretical aspects of the formation of volunteer activities in NCOs, specific recommendations were developed to improve and improve the motivation system for volunteers.
