Features of Entrepreneurial Activity in the Post-Socialist Countries of Central and Eastern Europe

This study is devoted to the research of the problem of existing differences in the level and features of entrepreneurship development in the post-socialist countries of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE), which vary greatly, even though they have close initial conditions, current membership of the same union (EU), the same assistant instruments which help to develop entrepreneurship there. During the work, we proved that there are other important factors that lead to the fact that the same institutions are differently effective in different national contexts. In the framework of this research work, an attempt was made to investigate and compare the framework conditions of entrepreneurial activity that affect the level and quality of entrepreneurship development in the post-socialist countries of Central and Eastern Europe. The results obtained make it possible not only to talk about the lack of homogeneity between post-socialist CEE countries, but also to differentiate them based on the revealed differences for the development of various policy options for promoting entrepreneurship and supporting small businesses.
