The Impact of Sanctions Against Russia on Russian Companies\' Performance

The research is focused on the impact of general economic and targeted sanctions, imposed on Russia, on the Russian companies performance. The empirical analysis is based on a panel data of 138 Russian companies during 2010-2017 years. The analysis uses the least squares method with individual fixed effects. Negative impact from sanctions on companies efficiency is the main result of the paper. Moreover, the negative impact started in 2015 and lasted at the same now until now. Also, the negative effect of sanctions increases due to lower oil prices.
