Following its 52-year history, the Association of Southeast Asian Nations (ASEAN) has undergone dramatic changes regarding the scope and cooperation dimensions. Then, considering the world politics’ possible shift towards regionalisation, it would appear worthwhile to analyse the incentives and mechanisms behind the ASEAN Community establishment so as to understand the integration motives and instruments and also build a thorough understanding of the region (Southeast Asia) in general. Provided such an objective is the case, examined should be the role of Singapore in the aforementioned processes as the state is pointed to be among the major driving forces behind community-building. Thus, this study aims to analyse the Singaporean role in the ASEAN Community establishment and further development and integration between the member states. For the purpose employed are the Compliance assessment, making and planning (CAMP) and the Case Study.
