Features of Consumption of Over-the-counter Medicines and Vitamins in Russia

In the author's work the empirical assessment of consumption of over-the-counter medicines, vitamins by the population is given, the main sources of information on medicines are studied, criteria of the choice of over-the-counter medicine by the consumer are concretized. Factors of development of culture of responsible self-treatment by the population are defined. Recommendations for public authorities in the field of health care, pharmaceutical companies that can help in the implementation of a culture of responsible self-treatment of the population.
