The Corporate Investment Attraction in Innovative Projects in the Agro-Industrial Complex

The first Chapter of the graduation thesis the agro-industrial complex is analyzed from the point of view of the development of the food industry, which includes an overview of external factors and trends affecting the food industry, an overview of technological changes in the food industry, as well as the role of startups in the development of the food industry and their impact on large companies. The Chapter concludes with an analysis of the experience of interaction between large companies and startups in agriculture. The second Chapter of this work is of analytical and review character. The Chapter provides an overview of the investment climate in the food industry in the world market, the US, Europe and Russia markets. Examples of major investment deals in the food industry for 2018 are also given, a comparison of attracted investments in food industry startups for 2017 and 2018 in Europe and the United States is presented. Based on the review of the investment climate in Europe, the main problems, their impact on the investment climate, as well as possible solutions were identified. During the review of the investment market of Russia, the most current trends among food startups to date have been identified and described. At the end of the Chapter, the statistics of acquisitions and mergers in the global food industry were presented. The third Chapter is devoted to the development of methods to attract corporate investment in innovative projects. In order to develop such a method, the actual directions of the food industry for investment in large corporations are determined. Then the choice of the investment instrument is described. At the end of the third Chapter describes the advantage of corporate investment as a tool for financing a startup.
