Incraesed Participation of Russian Companies in the Global Value Chains of the Electronics Industry

Recently, global value chains have become one of the main topics of reports of various international organizations such as the OECD and the WTO. The stages of the value chain are diversified, companies can perform a wide range of functions from design and development to simple assembly of finished products, and they all work in a single managed system to produce the final product. Companies that join global value chains gain a number of undeniable advantages in the form of sharing international experience in specific industries, increasing company profitability due to increased orders from companies from around the world, and attracting foreign investment to expand their activities. In turn, countries are interested in including domestic companies in global value chains to increase overall production efficiency, and increase GDP and living standards. One of the most involved industries in the global value chains is the electronic industry, since the product of this industry is used in a wide range of industries in other industries, it can be called fundamental in the modern world. The paper addresses the issue of expanding the participation of russian companies in the global value chains of the electronics industry. The trends in the development of the electronic industry are analyzed on the example of case studies from different countries and companies, with the possible application of this experience in Russia
