In the 21st century it is difficult to imagine our life without information technology. Information technologies have so strongly integrated into our lives that we cannot do anything without computers, the Internet, telephones, electronic libraries, e-commerce, online banking and so on. The IT industry is one of the fastest growing industries in the economy. There is a high speed of computerization that fills our world. Among the scope of application of IT can be identified the following: banking, military, commercial, etc. IT sector every year attracts a large number of investments, and this trend is growing every year so fast. In the current economic situation, mergers and acquisitions of companies is one of the most common ways of development, to which the majority of even the most successful companies’ resort. This process is now becoming a common phenomenon, almost everyday phenomenon. Currently, almost every week mergers and acquisitions take place among well-known organizations in the field of IT. After such transactions, innovative technologies often appear, by merging the scientific knowledge and development of companies. Mergers and Acquisitions is one of the fastest methods where companies can develop in a new direction, open new opportunities, enter new markets, diversify business. The importance of mergers and acquisitions is growing, as the international business environment becomes more competitive and intensive. Due to this, a successful M&A transaction can lead to significant competitive advantages in the market.
