The Impact of IT Outsourcing on the Efficiency of Russian Companies

In a general sense, outsourcing implies the delegation of an organization on the basis of a contract, as a rule, of non-core business functions of an outside company specializing in the relevant field in order to increase its efficiency and reduce costs. In contrast to those services or support that are provided one-time, the functions of professional support of individual systems and infrastructure on the basis of a contract for at least a year are transferred to outsourcing. The Russian IT outsourcing market is growing from year to year. According to TAdviser, in 2016 the transfer of IT to outsourcing by Russian companies increased by 16% compared with the previous year and reached 88.4 billion rubles. According to Microsoft, 30% of Russian companies are actively introducing artificial intelligence, which is the highest figure in the world. This trend is of interest to check the fact of increasing the efficiency of companies, given the introduction of IT outsourcing. A number of studies are devoted to this topic, however, there are very few Russian-language analogues, which makes this research new.
