Alternative Dispute Resolution in Economic Affairs

This paper describes alternative ways to resolve disputes over economic matters in the Russian Federation and foreign countries. In the final qualifying work the following issues were addressed: • Review of various types of alternative dispute resolution methods to resolve commercial disputes; • Analysis of legal regulation; • Advantages and disadvantages of alternative dispute resolution in economic affairs; • Existing problems in the field and recommendations for solving them. This work includes three chapters, as well as an introduction, conclusion and list of sources. The first chapter provides a retrospective look at the history of the development of alternative dispute resolution methods in different countries. The second chapter discusses the main alternative ways to resolve commercial conflicts in Russia. The third chapter describes the main problems in this area and suggestions for possible solutions to these problems. Brief conclusions of the work: • Alternative dispute resolution methods in economic affairs are effectively used in foreign countries; • In Russia, these methods are underdeveloped and for the most part are not effective; • With due legislative reforms and popularization of alternative dispute resolution methods in Russia, they can significantly relieve the state court system and become a good alternative for this category of cases.
