The Compilation of Electronic Dictionary of Contemporary American Political Slang

This paper has two main objectives. First, it aims to define the scope of the field of media bias in american media discourse and discover functional aspects of the profound usage of american political slang by politicians and their potential electoral base. Second, it describes the process of electronic dictionary creation from production of lexical entries to its compilation into structured lexical database that gives information about the form, meaning and use of words. The amount of data (65 entries) included in the electronic dictionary of american political slang can be accessed by means of open-source dictionary program GoldenDict.
