Nowadays online platforms for creating and promoting civil initiatives are gaining increasing popularity. This is due to the popularity of the Internet. The purpose of this work was the thematic mapping of online petitions, as well as a comprehensive study of lexical and semantic tools - components of the text of English-language electronic petitions, selected by moderators and ideas on the “change.org” platform and analysis of the rules for creating successful petitions on the material of the UK segments. In the future, research prospects may consist in expanding empirical material by studying the texts of online petitions, etc., as well as using other types of software for studying the text of electronic petitions.
