In recent years following the events of the «Arab Spring» thousands of refugees continue to flock to the borders of European countries. Nowadays about 12% of the population of France and 14% of the population of Germany are immigrants. However, their integration into the French community is extremely hampered both by socio-economic factors and by such a specific factor as the Islamic religion. The international terrorism bound up with the extremist movements of Islam aggravates this problem. However, despite the importance of this problem for both countries, there are still no studies on the comparison of the migration policies of France and Germany after the 2015 migration crisis. This paper will analyze the migration policy pursued by France and Germany in recent years in order to identify the interconnection between migration policy, and the approval level of the state authority by population of these countries. to achieve this aim it will attempt to use mixed-methods research approach with the combination of qualitative content analysis and quantitative data analysis. The findings of this work increase the understanding of the effectiveness of migration policy and might be helpful both for solving this issue within France and Germany and at the level of the European Union as a whole.
