Personal Inviolability in Russian Legal Doctrine and Lawmaking Process in the Early Twentieth Century

The thesis systematically investigated the institution of personal inviolability during the period of modernization of Russian society and the state at the beginning of the twentieth century. The relevance of the research is due to the insufficient study of the institution of personal inviolability in the legal doctrine and lawmaking of Russia in the early twentieth century. Conducting this study aims to eliminate this gap. In the work, a research was conducted of the approaches of theorist of the “Revived natural law” school to the problem of personal inviolability, and revealed the characteristic of the Russian liberal movement as a factor of legislation. Also in the work analyzed the features of the development and consideration by the State Duma of the draft law of personal inviolability, as well as the activities of the Provisional Government on this issue.
