The purpose of the research is a development of an integrated approach of measuring impact of organisational innovations on company performance. Design/methodology/approach: empirical investigations of measuring the impact of organisational innovation on company performance and publications on the development of methodology to study the impact of organisational innovation were analyzed. Major factors that impede the measurement of such impact were selected. Further on, approaches that help to avoid negative impact of each factor were introduced. Most factors take place due to the fact that there is the lack of adequate research tools. In Russia this problem is a current issue because innovative surveys have not yet come into practice and research terminology is not familiar to company executives. To solve this problem, a specialized tool has been developed in the research - a questionnaire for investigating the impact of organisational innovations on business performance in Russian companies. The questionnaire allows exploration of the complementarity of organisational innovations and innovations of different types, such as organisational and process innovations. During the development of the questionnaire much attention was paid to the opportunity of international comparisons. A computer-readable template and guidelines for use this questionnaire have also been created. Practical significance: the research summarizes the factors impeding the measurement of the impact of organisational innovations as well as the first specialized questionnaire to study the effect of organisational innovations on performance in Russian companies was developed. The use of the questionnaire will allow identifying the most productive combinations of innovations in the Russian context. This is important both for the development of state support measures and for strategic planning in companies. Keywords: organisational innovations, performance, complementarities, questionnaire
