The active development of information technology is an integral part of the modern world, in particular, the development of the Internet and its implementation in various spheres of human life. For example, the Internet of Things technology has appeared, representing the concept of a computer network of physical objects (“things”). The Internet network is a single network that connects virtual and real objects of the surrounding world. These items (“things”) are embedded technologies that make it possible to interact with each other or with the external environment (Kranenburg, 2008). In particular, the functions of the human body that are necessary for a prosperous life are measured, and the organization and planning of life activity is provided. Despite the fact that the technology of the Internet gives a person new opportunities to realize their own needs, there are certain risks associated with the introduction of technology. For example, Internet resources stimulate the development of the economy, which leads to the emergence of innovative products and solutions, but it also directly interferes with the privacy of the user. The results of previous studies have shown that a person may experience negative attitudes even with the mere mention of the use of new technologies (Brosnan, 1998). Feelings of fear and resistance are obvious symptoms of “technophobia”, the manifestation of which is not related to the level of education of a person or the sphere of his activity (Soldatova, Nestik, 2016). Thus, there is a problem with these studies. The research question underlies a person’s basic social ideas about the Internet of Things. The purpose of the study is to identify psychological factors that are positive as well as negative factors. The object of the research is the psychological preferences of the person, the subject is the psychological factors that determine these preferences in digital education. To achieve this goal, a qualitative study was conducted using the in-depth interview parameter (N = 10). Respondents were asked to answer questions about the experience of using the technology of the Internet of Things. The research results showed that there are positive attitudes, problems and problems associated with the violation of personal space, the problem of quality, the complexity of technology, high cost, etc.). This abstract presents a psychological analysis of the use of Internet technologies. This work is a continuation of the master's thesis Nyuhalova DA.: "Psychological factors of preferences for services in the field of Internet of things". In the first chapter, the essay discusses theoretical approaches to the study of the concept of consumer preferences and its factors; the second chapter uses the basic characteristics of the Internet of Things technology; The third chapter presents the results of empirical research on the Internet.
