Toly is 13-year-old deaf-mute teenager. He runs away from the boarding school and begins to sell in commuter trains headbands for hair, were made by himself. Every time the train takes him into the unknown, but always returns back. He was told from childhood that the world did not care about him, and the age of majority seemed to be the line after which he would be thrown into a cruel, angry world. But where to seek rescue if even within his world all is not well, and children have to face abuse that they cannot explain? In the train he will see the diversity of the characters and be faced with a different attitude: hucksters, making money on their illnesses, good people and bad… And One day he runs out for a passenger, struck with his black skin. So he gets into the family of Afro-Americans illegal immigrants, remaining in Russia after the World Cup Champion, and finds out what it is to live in the family. May they love each other, but being people of another culture, they adhere to their principles, which are somewhat reminiscent of the violence that Toly had escaped. Only why do they consider it is the norm? And that generally is the norm in this life, and how the boy who has lived his entire life in isolation can understand it?
