Decision Making Support Tool Development for Approach Selection of IT Projects Risk Analysis

This work describes the development of an algorithm for selecting an approach to risk analysis in it projects, including the process of theoretical analysis of the subject area and testing the algorithm on the example of the Perm IT company. The development and further use of the algorithm will allow it managers to quickly make decisions during for formation the structure of the risk analysis process, taking into account the needs of the project. The developed algorithm is aimed at the increase the efficiency of the project and reduces the level of uncertainty. The object of the study is the process of implementation of projects in the field of information technology, and the subject – approaches to the risk analysis of the project. The first Chapter at work is devoted to the analysis of the theoretical aspects of risk management in projects in the field of information technology in General, as well as the study of the structural features of the risk analysis process, in particular. The second Chapter presents a direct description of the creation of an algorithm for selecting the approach of risk analysis in an IT-project, which is based on such a method of decision-making as the "decision Tree". The third Chapter includes a description of the process of testing the developed algorithm on example of projects of the Perm it company, as well as an assessment of the effectiveness of the results of the algorithm. The appendices to the work include aspects related to determining the level of maturity of the company to risk management, the organizational structure of the Perm IT company, as well as the resulting structure of the decision tree.
