Analysis of Using the Interactive Data Visualization Tools Focused on BI

Every day companies collect, process and analyze a huge amount of information. Therefore, the question of structured visual representation of analytical results to all levels of management is of great importance nowadays. As a result, there appear new platforms for data visualization, such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikSense and others based on dashboards. Mentioned tools give an opportunity to present information (including results of business-analysis) in a clear and accessible form. This final qualifying paper is devoted to the analysis of using the interactive data visualization tools focused on BI. The paper consists of four chapters. It includes a literature review, a description of the dashboard concept, practical methods for its creation as well as recommendations for its formation. Theoretical review of existing tools for visual presentation of analytical results, such as Power BI, Tableau, QlikSense, ThoughtSpot, including the description of the methodology for selecting criteria for comparing tools and the analysis of the platforms based on the identified parameters, is presented. The paper includes the dashboard design process using one of the programs for visualizing the results of BI, provides examples of its use in practice and also highlights the advantages over traditional reporting.
