Russia and China: a model of political dialogue of the future

Student: Kuzina Karina

Supervisor: Valentina Morozova

Faculty: Saint-Petersburg School of Social Sciences

Educational Programme: Asian and African Studies (Bachelor)

Year of Graduation: 2019

Relations between China and Russia have a long history, but the 40-50s of the 20th century are considered to be the beginning of active interactions. Now Russia and China have moved to a new level - the level of strategic partnership. The urgency lies in the fact that in 2019 the 70th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between China and Russia will be celebrated, and in 2021 the Treaty of Good Neighborhood, Friendship and Cooperation of 2001, which became the starting point of trade and economic, political, cultural relationships. This raises questions: will countries continue to cooperate and what changes can be expected in Russian-Chinese relations.
