Mediated Woman in Contemporary Russian Culture: Poetry and Social Media

The objective of the present research is to study the development of the conceptualization of the female beauty in the discourse of modern media. The methods utilized are semiotic analysis as a tool for analyzing the concept of beauty as a combination of signs and symbols in the field of actual pop culture; theoretical analysis of a number of works of scientific and methodological literature and content analysis of archival documentation as a way to study the formation and transformation of the concept of standardized beauty in different periods of the historical process. In addition, in the course of the work, the empirical method of comparison is repeatedly used, and the theoretical level method is the study and generalization of the data obtained. The results anticipated are to prove that modern network media construct a virtual sociocultural reality, which determines qualitatively new standards, practices and norms of representation of femininity; the concept of female beauty is being transformed relative to socio-cultural traditions in society. The present research contains the title page, introduction, the main part (two chapters, each of them contains two paragraphs), conclusion, list of references and applications.
