Russia-ASEAN Strategic Partnership as ASEAN's Priority in the Establishment of ASEAN Community

The Association of the Southeast Asia nations has made a long and successful way from being a bloc opposing the common threat the state of an active and unique actor of international relations. The goals and priorities of ASEAN have considerably evolved over time and are more ambitious and development-oriented now. The new agenda of the organization’s intentions is proven by the initiative of ASEAN Community which creates new frameworks and sets new goals both for intra-ASEAN integration and for its relations with the external partners. In 2018 the Association established strategic partnership with Russia. Then the question is how this cooperation could contribute to the development of ASEAN Community?
