Exploring Technological and Cultural Peculiaritites of Anonymous Communication on 4chan Internet-forum

Object of study. Behavioral models of active 4chan users by the example of comments posted on the forum, visual content and links to third-party resources. Field of study. A forum is a web space with a certain cultural community that demonstrates the features of “irrational” user behavior. Subject of study. Textual and visual content of the 4chan resource. Methodological foundations of the study. Internet research will be conducted using digital ethnography as well as auto-ethnography based on theoretical material published in the works of P. Kolozaridi “Internet research: historical review and analysis of knowledge production” [8] and “Internet research: analysis of social sciences: theoretical and methodological analysis ”[9], Rykov Yu. and Nagorny O.“ The field of Internet research in the social sciences ”[17], D. Rogozin“ How auto-ethnography works ”[16], tutorial P. V. Kolozarini, A. Schetvina and E. Sokolova “Digital Ethnography” [43] . In the list of used literature. Research hypothesis. The 4chan Internet resource, has communicative, entertaining and educational functions, is an original phenomenon related to technical, cultural and cultural aspects. This qualification work will consist of theoretical and practical parts. The theoretical part will consist of two sections: “Anonymous forums in Internet research for 2020” and Digital Ethnography as a Method of Internet Research, which will use the same method of auto-ethnography. The practical part will be devoted to the study of several so-called “boards,” on 4chan members by the aforementioned method of auto-ethnography.
