Year of Graduation: 2020

At the moment, the field of software development is in a highly competitive environment. This is why many modern it projects use iterative development methodologies that allow you to adapt products to market needs faster than using traditional waterfall project management models. However, the ability to gradually add new functionality in an iterative model suggests that the requirements for the product being developed are also gradually changing. When using an iterative model, the project team needs to build requirements management processes to avoid situations where the system requirements do not match its actual state. Moreover, the use of impact analysis, a tool for managing changes in requirements, increases the chances of reliably estimating the amount of work required to implement the new functionality, which positively affects the quality and speed of decision-making. This research is aimed at finding a way to improve the efficiency of change management processes in requirements, based on the application of the theory of shearing layers used in architecture. As a result of monitoring the software development project and analyzing the software requirements, recommendations will be made to improve the effectiveness of change management in the project. This study provides an overview of the classifications of requirements used in requirements management, a description of requirements management processes, and an analysis of the applicability of the proposed method for improving the effectiveness of managing changes in requirements.
