The Phenomenon of Genius. Creation of a Collection Based on the Image of a Genius in various Historical Eras

The phenomenon of genius is one of the most important problems throughout human history. The activity of genius is one of the driving forces of society. A genius is able to create a brand new product, to make a breakthrough in the area he deals with. A genius is capable of mastering cultural heritage in depth and transcending stereotypes, at the same time. The study uses several of the most popular concepts of the phenomenon genius and genius creations, parallels between these concepts and the biographical side of the issue - the biographies of different people who somehow correspond to the notion of "genius" at different times were drawn up and studied. An important fact in the research is even now there are no specific set of qualities that determine the emergence of genius has been identified. In the postmodern era, the familiar concept of the word genius lose their former significance. The main purpose of the research is to study the history of the genius phenomenon and the definition of the word «genius», to study the irrational aspect of the phenomenon and make a brand new definition of genius relevant to our time.
