Nuclear disarmament of the Korean Peninsula is the hot-button issue in the region. It seems to be closely tied to the different visions of the political course. The main actors are the Republic of Korea and the Democratic People's Republic of Korea. Russian Federation and the USA are indirectly involved in this conflict. There were several attempts to reach consensus, multilateral summits and the desire of the countries to find a solution. However, nuclear disarmament still remains the open-ended question in political talks. There are several approaches for investigating the issue of nuclear disarmament. Since there were few analyses of mass media content on the issue of denuclearization, this work is dedicated to mass media studies. Thus, presented research work is not only relevant, but also has practical implications. In order to identify the vision of the country on the issue, we aim to investigate mass media mechanisms used to form public opinions in the USA, South Korean and Russian newspapers. Firstly, we establish methodological framework based on the previous research reports. Secondly, analyzing the mass media content, we expect to identify the characteristics used in order to portray nuclear disarmament issue. Finally, in order to achieve the intended goal, we are going to find out how many articles are dedicated to this problem in each country. We have managed to reconstruct the agenda around the nuclear disarmament issue in Russia, South Korea and the USA. In addition, we outlined the differences in ways of describing the problem. We suppose that in order to ensure a productive dialogue in the future, to stabilise the situation on the Korean Peninsula and to ensure the security of the national interests of each country, it is important to positively represent the situation within each country and to be ready to build a compromise.
