Universal Basic Income in Russia: Pros and Cons

Universal basic income is one of the most popular ideas in today's world. Many countries have conducted experiments to implement basic income, but in Russia this measure is discussed only in the scientific community. The aim of this study is to identify the arguments for and against the implementation of universal basic income in Russia. There is no certain decision on the effectiveness of the implementation of this measure in Russia since representatives of the neediest segments of the population are afraid and do not support it. But a significant result is the fact that more “free from state aid” citizens see in basic income a tool to solve global challenges.
