Despite patriarchal traditions, since 2013 Germany has been facing a significant increase in the dynamics of women's participation in politics - the level of gender equality in the distribution of power in the economic, political and social spheres has grown 1.5 times, settling at 56.6% in 2019. Therefore, the purpose of the study is to determine the factors under the influence of which the dynamics of political participation of the female population of Germany changed from 2013 till 2019. In the paper the results of surveys, conducted by GESIS and including information on the political preferences of German women, are analyzed; the statistical research method is applied - database analysis is based on logistic regression. To answer the research question posed, four hypotheses were formulated, covering economic, political, social and geographical factors that could to some extent affect the dynamics under study. As a result, we came to the conclusion that the geographical position does not play a role in determining the dynamics of political participation; economic factors are directly related to the lack of gender equality in the economy. Political aspects combine inequality between the sexes in power structures, dissatisfaction with the elites’ political activities and migration problems; social factors were ineffective protection of the rights and freedoms of women and children from violence and incomplete health policy.
