Communicating Change in Academic Environment

Educational institutions likewise the other types of organizations, face a constant change. In the contemporary world, an increase in productivity is imperative that allows meeting the operational requirements and expectations. Moreover, outdated organizational models are becoming uncompetitive at a rapid pace. The problem is to organize the transformation process so that it runs as smoothly as possible. In the academic environment, students are faced with changes especially often. This study examines the process of bringing change from two perspectives - students and university administration. At the same time, this scientific work sets as its aim to test the correlation between the level of students' awareness and their academic performance. To achieve the objectives of the study, qualitative analysis, and regression analysis with a survey and an expert interview to collect data are used. The results of the study contribute to the existing knowledge about the academic environment and methods of change communication support on the example of a particular university.
