This work considers the issues of regional transport and logistics complexes. The regional transport and logistics complex is understood as a complex dynamically developing system that includes all the elements of the transport and logistics infrastructure and provides an efficient process of cargo flow in the region. Regional transport and logistics complexes, as well as other transport projects in cities, are quite expensive enterprises that require comprehensive calculations and justifications. The problems of the formation of logistics centers in the Russian Federation are also considered. As part of the study, the effectiveness of the project to build a wholesale distribution center for the storage of agricultural products was evaluated using vegetables as an example. The calculations showed the effectiveness of the proposed measure. The main problems that hinder the realization of the potential of the regional transport and logistics complex of the Leningrad Region were also identified.
