Development of Cryptosystem Based on Forward Error Correction Codes

This paper describes various classes of error-correcting codes that are considered as candidates for modification of the asymmetric McEliece cryptosystem, suggests decryption methods for them, advantages and disadvantages of implementing them. Modifications of the McEliece cryptosystem based on these error-correcting codes are also described, and the software implementation of some functions of the cryptosystem in the Python programming language is provided.
