Nowadays the health of the population and the economy of the country with the rapid development of society are becoming more and more inseparable in influencing the number and quality of population. The serious task of the government and society is to promote the health of the population of our country. The priority of health requires in-depth study, understanding of the causes and factors of its change. It is worth developing a methodological approach to assessing public and group health in order to formulate criteria for the objective function of protecting health. The goal of the master’s dissertation research is to study the indicators of objective and subjective health of the population of the Russian Federation and their interconnections with the state program “Healthcare Development”. In order to achieve this goal, the following tasks were set: 1. To identify key terminology related to the health of population; 2. To analyze the literature of domestic and foreign experience of the health of population; 3. To conduct an econometric analysis of objective indicators of the health of population; 4. To conduct an econometric analysis of subjective indicators of the health of population; 5. To develop recommendations for the state program “Healthcare Development”. The practical part of the study includes an econometric analysis, which allows to identify significant and insignificant factors according to objective and subjective assessments of the health of the population of the Russian Federation. Based on the results of obtaining econometric results based on objective and subjective assessments of the health of the population, the author of the master's dissertation research has formulated the recommendations for improving the state program “Health Care Development”.
