Psychological Featurers of People Engaged in Cold Swimming

Cold swimming is a unique practice that holds a special place in the modern world due to its specificity and ambiguity of the effects exerted on the human body. The scientific field presents a lot of research on the effect of cold swimming on the human body at the level of physiological manifestations. The psychological direction of research remains open for this topic. The aim of this research was to study the psychological aspects of people involved in cold swimming. Based on the analysis of the literature available on the topic of cold swimming, we can say that this kind of activity is mainly considered in the field of health research. This allowed us to direct our research into the psychology of health and, based on the concept of health perception as an integrative phenomenon that includes psychological aspects, including self-regulation, consider cold swimming as an activity that allows a person to develop self-regulation resources and increase not only somatic, but psychological health.
