Changes in the Institutional Field of «Women's Writing» in Contemporary Russia

The focus of my work is on the process of institutionalization of women's writing in contemporary Russia, which is significant for sociocultural and gender studies. I analyze how the cultural transfer of new genres for Russian literature, such as autofiction and theory-fiction, and how new types of authorship and communities in the literary field arise. The time frame for the work is from the mid-2010s to the present. The focus of my research is on the creative writing courses for women Write like a grrrl, and No Kidding Press, a publishing house of women's literature. Considering imbrications and cross-breeding in Russian-language texts, I come to the conclusion about the connection between cultural transfer and the institutionalization of women's writing: the experience of other cultures forms and consolidates new local cultural patterns.
