The Formation of an Open Research Culture in Russian Universities

The author of this Master thesis asks the question of how Russian university researchers change their approaches to research activity because of a modern model of «open science». He has based on general scientific and sociological literature and has created the 4 concepts of for his own research. There they are: «open science», «open research culture», «open education» and «open access». The paper presents the main approaches to understanding the «openness» of research, analyzes the dependence on the university culture as an organization and research culture and its «open way» . Besides, the author shows the role of the main stakeholders of Russian science, which can have an impact on transformation Russian research culture into open research culture. The author offers an analysis of the modern Russian open research culture, which includes, among other things, the principles of open science, and the role of an university as an organization that is a center for obtaining and developing scientific knowledge. As reflected in the work, the practices of open science begin to take shape in Russian higher education science as a special approach to scientific research. The main ideas of this paper can be used to study the transformation processes taking place in Russian science as it moves towards the course of "openness". The Master's thesis contains an introduction, three chapters, a conclusion, a list of sources and annexes.
