Public Space Administration in the City of Federal Significance (the Case of Saint Petersburg)

The degree work on a subject «Public Space Administration in the City of Federal Significance» is aimed to study the theoretical and methodological foundations for the participatory design implementation in the St. Petersburg Public Space Administration. The study identifies the gaps of the existing administration system, assesses the feasibility of participatory design implementation. Carried out a comparative analysis of socio-economic conditions of adjusted territories on the case of two spaces located in the Vasileostrovsky district, St. Petersburg is located on the border of the historical and highest micro district of 1970-1980, which allows to evaluate the conditions for the participatory design implementation. A qualitative analysis helps to highlight the main problems that need to be worked out with residents. Developed proposals for the participatory design implementation and improving the quality of Public Spaces Administration in St. Petersburg.
