Life satisfaction among high-school students is a very important factor not only for happiness, but also for success in learning at school, as well as for building relationships with adults and peers. This study attempted to examine how such constructs as time perspective and self-control are related to life satisfaction of teenagers. Participants in this study were high-school students aged 14 to 18 years, studying in schools in the city Voronezh. As the result of our study we found that there is positive strong correlation between self-control and Past negative, Present hedonistic and Present fatalistic time perspective, but strong negative correlation between self-control and Future time perspective. Also we found contradiction with previous research, in our study life satisfaction has negative significant correlation with self- control. At the age of adolescents teenagers perceive self-control as restrictions in life that do not bring happiness. While teenagers are highly emotional and impulsive due to physical and hormonal development, it is difficult for them to maintain high level of self-control. We found also that after moderational analysis, significant changes occur between the variables Past negative and Life satisfaction; Present fatalistic and Life satisfaction. Keywords: time perspective, self-control, life satisfaction, Russian high-school students, moderation, school
