Internationalization of business activity is included in the program of the most competitive companies around the world. The variety of theories, methods, and cases of entering foreign markets is abundant and covers almost the entire history of this issue, from the first cases to the present day. Currently, more and more start-ups with the intention to be successful, stable, and well-known both at home and abroad in the Russian Federation are founded. Thus, every start-up and every young company needs the most accurate answer to the question "Are we ready for internationalization and how to do it?". That is why it is necessary to collect and analyse general information on this topic in the form of a roadmap. As an example, for the development of a personalized roadmap, a start-up in the agricultural sector is taken since the author has some experience in developing innovative solutions for such an enterprise. The following tasks had been solved: (1) analysis of the state of agricultural technologies in Russia and abroad, (2) identification and description of key approaches and models of internationalization, (3) identification of the main barriers to the process of internationalization, (4) conducting field research and data collection, and (5) formulation of key principles, approaches and objectives of internationalization. As a result, a user-friendly roadmap that provides simplified information on the main factors to be considered at each stage of the internationalization process has been developed. The practical significance of the research is that the results obtained will help start-up managers in an accessible format to familiarize themselves with the accepted practices of the internationalization process in the scientific literature, in order to improve their work and achieve their goals.
