Approaches to the Digital Transformation of a Banking Organization

The problem of research. The current period of development of civilization is characterized by a significant acceleration of scientific and technological progress, accompanied by the rapid growth of information (digital) technologies. These technologies provide tremendous opportunities for all actors in the modern economy. But digital technologies also pose new threats to companies that are not ready to integrate these technologies into their activities, are not ready to use their full potential. To solve the problems of using the potential effects of digital technologies and transforming the approach to the organization, the concept of digital transformation (DT) is used. Digital transformation allows for a radical change, the transformation of the company using digital technology. Digital transformation is a term that is broadly and differently interpreted by different groups of people related to digital transformation. It is worth noting that, in addition, there are differences in the digital transformation of different types of organizations and industries. All this creates additional difficulties for understanding and using digital transformation in practice. Accordingly, the main problem is that there is no systematic approach to digital transformation for specific industries, taking into account the features of this type of organization and the specific approaches to digital transformation. Thus, the problems of studying approaches to digital transformation, the features of digital transformation in relation to a specific industry, is a very urgent and important task. In this work, the banking sector and, accordingly, approaches to digital transformation for this industry will be selected as an industry for study in this work. The aim of this final qualification work is to develop a methodological approach for digital transformation of a banking organization. To achieve the goal of the final qualification work, it is necessary to solve the following tasks: 1. To identify and characterize various approaches to digital transformation of the enterprise, aspects of digital transformation. 2. To identify and characterize the features of a banking organization, key business processes for digital transformation. 3. Describe the features of digital transformation approaches for a banking organization. 4. Describe the digital transformation approach for a banking organization (principles, methods). 5. Describe the conditions and possibilities of applying the digital transformation approach for one of the bank's business processes. The object of the study is a large banking organization, with a staff of more than 1000 people, having branches in several regions. The subject of final qualification work is a set of measures and tools for digital transformation in a banking organization. This final qualification work consists of three chapters. The first chapter will discuss the general theory of digital transformation, basic approaches, readiness criteria, and levels of digital transformation. In the second chapter, a banking organization will be considered as an object of research and transformation - features of a banking organization, identified features of digital transformation in banks, a methodological approach to the DT of a banking organization, a model for choosing the DT approach in a banking organization. In the third chapter, one of the approaches to the bank's central bank will be considered, a methodology for applying this approach to one of the key business processes in the bank is proposed.
