Master Thesis of a student at the HSE Faculty of Law on the topic “The Arctic and Antarctic: Comparative Characteristics of Control Regimes (International Legal Aspect)”. Author: student of the MPM 181 group Georgii Feldshtein. The work examines the international legal regimes for managing the Arctic and Antarctic. The subject of the research is the international legal acts that underlie the regimes under consideration. The purpose of this work is to compare international legal management regimes in the Arctic and Antarctic, as well as to identify their advantages and disadvantages in order to determine the most effective regime, as well as to determine common approaches to regional management. Based on the goal, in the work: - A comparison is made of the historical context of the formation of legal regimes in the Arctic and Antarctic. - The features of international legal management regimes in the regions have been identified. - A comparative description of the legal regimes of environmental protection is given.
