Final Grade: 8

Year of Graduation: 2020

Today competition and turbulence grow in the business environment. For this reason, to remain successful, companies should constantly evolve. However, the success of a company depends not only on continuous development of products and services, but also on its ability to rapidly and effectively implement organizational change. If for several past decades a company could remain unaltered for a long stretch of time, today companies are forced to change and adapt to the contemporary market. These can be various changes from the implementation of a new IT system to a restructuring. In this regard, the project (program) approach is gaining popularity. Despite the fact that organizational change projects are the fourth most common type of project undertaken, only 20% of organizations adopt a formal organizational change management practice. Studies showed that organizations achieve their goals better utalizing project management practices. These facts support the idea that management of organizational change projects requires further study in order to improve the efficiency of their implementation.
