The Historical Evolution of the Cinderella Plot in Russian Poetry of the 20th Century

The work considers the Cinderella 's image and the plot of the fairy tale in the poetry of the Silver Age and the Thaw period. Based on a detailed analysis of individual poems, the main image features and plot elements characteristic of a given historical period are identified. The center of attention is the poems of A. Akhmatova, V. Y. Bryusov, V. V. Nabokov, D. S. Samoilov, E. Evtushenko and S. V. Petrov. The plot and image are considered in their historical development, which allows to identify literary connections between periods and to see the relationship of different traditions. The theoretical basis of the work is the concepts of eternal images, main and vagrant stories.
